Founded upon Christian principles, the mission of the Hands of
Hope Clinic is to provide free medical and dental care, as
well as medications to the uninsured and underserved residents of Henry
County, Georgia. We believe access to healthcare is a right for every
individual, and Hands of Hope Clinic exists to provide
compassionate, quality healthcare for every patient who enters our doors.
Our patients are friends, family and
neighbors in our community . Because unexpected illnesses and accidents happen every day,
now there's
hope for the mother experiencing flu-like symptoms and someone
with depression can finally receive medical treatment. Even
the elderly lady down the street can get her medications.
The Hands of Hope Clinic relies on volunteers, be it
doctors, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, therapists, clerical
and other various personnel. We welcome expertise from all
walks of life. Hands of Hope is financially supported
through its volunteers, grants and charitable donations of
many gracious individuals, churches and organizations. HOHC
is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization.

FROM THE
NEWSROOM AT
HANDS OF HOPE CLINIC
Georgia Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle and Blue Cross Blue Shield of
Georgia administered a $5,000 grant to Henry County's Hands
of Hope Clinic recently in an effort to aid

Ruth
Rucker, RN and Lt. Gov.
Casey Cagle tour Hands of Hope.
Hands of Hope Clinic in
providing flu and pneumonia vaccines to uninsured Georgians.
Cagle, who applied for the $50,000 statewide grant from Blue
Cross Blue Shield, said the money would help aid some of the
1.7 million people in Georgia, who are uninsured, to receive
lifesaving vaccines, as well as bring down the cost of
health care for other Georgians.
"People are going to the emergency room and getting their
health needs in a very high-cost environment," said Cagle.
"A family of three pays an additional $1,000 in extra
premium costs to cover those that cannot pay. The ability to
transfer patients from a high-cost environment into a
low-cost environment will significantly bring down the cost
of health care." |
